What is the need for voting on TED DAO?
TED DAO requires voting to be made for any major changes or project work for Tezos Domains.
The TED DAO is designed via token-weighted voting, meaning you require to hold $TEDv to cast votes or $TED to delegate your voting power to a Delegate of your choosing.
Each $TEDv Token is worth 1 vote in the DAO.
Social Proposals
A social proposal lets the DAO vote on a wide range of things. These might include but are not limited to requests for new features (as long as they don’t require additional budget) or changes in the Discourse Governance Forum’s Structure and Rules.
Role Changes
In most circumstances, the DAOs delegates and voters and asked to vote on a change of Role or an additional Role creation, sometimes this is not always needed. for example, If the CM needs to employ another person to help fulfil a role surrounding the CMs tasks, the CM is free to do so unless this is an add-on to the total budget.
All changes will be made visible on the discourse forum, here.
Request for Action
A Request for Action proposal requires delegates to at least hit 10% quorum along with 50%+ Yes/Positive votes for said proposal.
Additional DApp Changes
In instances where additional DApp changes require additional budget to make happen, this would need to be done via the DAO with a ‘Request for Action’ proposal.
Project Requests
If the Community or Core Team would like to set a project up surrounding the DAO or Tezos Domains, they are more than welcome to do so. Projects will be evaluated based off the function said Project provides along with the use-cases and how it improves the DAO or Tezos Domains in general.
Constitutional Amendments
All Constitutional Amendments are required to have a minimum of 14 days to vote duration, along with two-thirds of Yes votes and a quorum of 20% of all votes (TEDv) in current circulation.
