What are $TED Tokens
$TED Tokens are the governance token for Tezos Domains. $TED Tokens can be deposited into the governance pool for a $TEDv which is a Tezos Domains Vote token.
Whilst you have deposited $TED tokens for $TEDv tokens, you are able to vote on proposals within the DAO and you will earn $TED in the meantime via the governance reward system.
$TED Token Distribution
During the projects early life, users were granted $TED tokens via an Airdrop. The Airdrop was split into a few categories which was presented in this post on 10th of October 2023.

During the course of the launch day, the Core Team decided to burn 8,173,635 (8.173635%) as this was the total amount of unsold tokens via the IDO. The new total supply is currently 91,826,365 $TED.

Tezos Domains User Airdrop
The total amount of Airdrop to users was 8.16% of the total supply of $TED.
- 0.27 * (the # of days the account has owned at least one Tezos Domain)
plus
- 0.062* (the # of days until the expiration of the name on your reverse record)
There was a 2x multiplier if you had a primary reverse record set at the time of the snapshot.
Discord User Airdrop
The Top 10 active users by total messages on the Discord were given an enhanced Airdrop. This amount equals 136,600 $TED (Originally 120,000 $TED)
This was split into 3 categories of rewards.

Unclaimed Airdropped Tokens
There is currently 5,995,500 $TED unclaimed from the airdrop. The claiming period has ended for the Airdrop.
The total amount of $TED unclaimed will be allocated to the treasury.
These unclaimed tokens will be used for future purposes such as, project work, payments & possibly another airdrop if the DAO votes on this.
